Lower school is based on the main site and generally caters for pupils from reception age up until the end of Key Stage 2 - with some exceptions depending on the needs of the individual pupils.
In lower school, all pupils are grouped based on their needs and each class group is distinctive, with groups following a curriculum that is tailored to suit their needs. Rigorous assessments systems are in place, which help us to identify 'next steps' and pupils are set 'goals', which are shared with families each term. We work closely with other professionals, including Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, the Speech and Language Team and LDCAMHS. We take a holistic approach to ensure pupil needs are met.
There are 9 classes within lower school, which are split into two distinct phases - KTS1 and KTS 2.
