Update: 27th November 2020

We have been advised that there is positive Covid-19 case within KTS. All pupils and staff who have been in close contact have been traced and identified and informed to isolate.

The letter below explains the procedures we follow when informed of a positive case.

If your child needs to self-isolate you will have had a phone call from KTS which will be followed up with a letter to parents, via email or post.  If you have not been contacted, your child/children can continue to attend school as normal as they were not in close contact with the identified person.

Thank you for your support.

Please note: If your child has symptoms and receives a positive test result for covid, please email:

or text: 07840184189

as soon as possible, so that the necessary actions and contacts can be made.

We can also confirm dates of when your child is able to return to school.

To develop and maintain the highest quality of provision with a dedicated, experienced and skilled staff, ensuring that every member of the school community receives the highest standard of education, care and support to enable them to achieve the best outcomes now and in the future.

At KTS Academy, our aim is to create a supportive and caring environment for the children and young people who need a more specialised provision. Children come from across the Redcar and Cleveland Borough, as well as surrounding boroughs. Pupils are admitted throughout the year on an individual basis, via referrals from the Local Authority.

We welcome visits from prospective parents and encourage them to look around our school to see what we offer.
