Kilton Thorpe School Friends is a group of parents and staff from KTS Academy. Its role is to encourage closer links between home and school. They are best known for their fundraising and social events. These provide an opportunity for parents, staff and pupils to get together.

How is money raised?

Traditionally money has been raised through events each term which include:

Social events such as discos, bingo and fashion shows for pupils, families and friends.

Fundraising for other charities, for example; Children in Need, Reindeer Run (Butterwick Hospice), Comic and Sports Relief.

How is money spent?

Funds raised by the KTS Friends are intended to provide ‘extras’ not already provided by the school’s main income. Often enrichment activities such as theatre trips/visits, outings and specialist resources. Kilton Thorpe Friends are currently fundraising towards a new specialist sensory room.
