Student Council

KTS Academy has a school council which meets each half term.

  • They have been involved with community projects such as developing an accessible community woodland between Loftus Leisure Centre.
  • Within school they have encouraged staff and pupils to save energy, with a poster competition.  They also make suggestions about which charities to support and how they can do this.  They have recently held a colouring competition and made a joke book to sell to raise money for Comic Relief.
  • They are the steering group for our Right Respecting School Award and spoke with the assessor about their understanding of the rights of the child.

Our School Council were asked to contribute their ideas about the KTS School Values.  They asked to update the school rules to reflect the values.
